México City.

I’m Inlove!!! But so extremely exhausted!
But I have to write in my diary because I’m so blessed to be here in Mexico and I want to be able to remember this time for forever!!!

Okay, Today was hectic! Such a full on day, we covered so much of Mexico City in like 13 hours. I’m just going to dot point what I didn’t today other wise I’ll be here for ages and start talking smack haha

So we left at 7:30am and this is what we did..
  • Went to the D.F centre, giant Mexican Flag, amazing catholic church; Old Spanish ♥ ♥
  • Got baked goods from the bakery and freshly squeezed juice while walking to the metro. Metro in Mexico City is like New York subway style.
  •  Walked to the art gallery! The most BEAUTIFUL building ever!! Didn’t even go inside, because the building was a work of art in itself!!
  •  Two trains to the Flower markets. Stunning.
  • Tried the most yummiest hot drinks of my life! Warm rice/milk/concoct and the second was all of that but just add Chocolate! Oh.my.Gosh.
  • Corn green chili breed rolls. Yum.
  • Corn with chili in a cup with milky other things in it, idk what it is. But delish; got a photo.
  • Mexican fruit juice. So sweet and cheap but have no idea what fruit it was?
  • TACOS!!! Yum yum tum. Never again will I look at Australia’s El Paso tacos again!!
  • Got adventurous and ate tacos out of tongue and stomach meat. YOLO but soooooo yummy. Keno and I were the only girls who ate the funky tacos. Lammme
  •  After the tacos we went to the Museum…Let just say I wouldn’t have been sad if we didn’t stay as long as we did. But still happy I went; saw some paining that legit looked like Nephites. #BookofMormonland ;)
  • The last “dot point” I can kinda write more on it since it was the highlight of the day..

We went on these Mexican fiesta canoes! Floating down the river. Passing hundreds of other canoes, Mexican houses, ‘shop boats’ that’s sold us more tacos and fields of flowers

AND then we had Mariachi bands come on the canoe thing and play for us all afternoon. What the perfect??????

Could die a happy person now. Ahh but such perfect afternoon.

Our whole tour group got so smashed on the canoe!! Like smash cityyyyyyy! Soz guys I don’t drink. Coke zero por favor hahaha

Hilarious. We all got to know them so well!! Lololololol good bunch of people.

I’m going to go have the best sleep of my life now, till tomorrow x

IM IN MEXICO

HOLA

I’m actually here!! Sitting in my hotel room in Mexico City!! MY DREAM.

I’m already so in love with this place (what a surprise lol) But it’s seriously insane! Unlike anywhere I’ve ever been before. Poverty and wealth blended right next to each other all throughout the city. Reminds me a little of Bali’s chaos but with that Mexican Spanishy flare to it. So cool.

Lets just talk about how beautiful the Spanish language is for a minute. I mean, we all know how much I love Spanish; I have a word in Spanish tattooed on my foot after all lol. But hearing it all around me all day was so beautiful. Been speaking straight Spanglish hehe

It started as soon as we got on the plane. Flying to Mexico City on Aero Mexico, no one really spoke English. AHhh still can’t believe I’m here!

We got in last night and flying here sure was MAGIC!! The biggest city I’ve ever been to, way bigger than New York! The view from the plane of the city all lit up was one of the best views of my life!!

Today was straight up an Adventure. A blonde and an Asian running around Mexico City together haha was so exciting though. Just ordering food and talking to our taxi driver in terrible Spanish was just the happiest moments. Couldn’t stop smiling the whole day!

We didn’t really know what to do today since we join our tour group tomorrow and we will cover a lot of Mexico city with them, but keno wanted to go the shops and I was keen to see the Mexico City Temple since today would be our only opportunity.

Our driver spoke NO English but we are in Mexico, so I really had to try.. really don’t even no how we got around but it worked haha after the Temple he took us to the fanciest shopping centre. Probs because we are white so he must have just thought we wanted to shop at Prada ect. Lol show us the markets por favor.

Nahh all goods, the shopping centre was so beautiful, and so many attractive Mexicans everywhere!!!!!

This is going to be the best couple of weeks of my life. SO HAPPY

Viva Mexico ♥ ♥ ♥

I believe in Time Travel

I stand in amazement with the excitement I’m feeling right now.

The saying ‘it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey’ is so perfect for where I am right now. I am on my way; on my way to making one of my biggest dreams a reality. I am currently flying to Los Angeles, in the air right down probably flying across the pacific islands.

I am everywhere but nowhere, I’m not in any in particular time zone.

Time has stopped for me.

As I was looking out the window for the past hour, I literally flew from the bright sunlight to the black night within a matter of moments.
I’ve going on a somewhat unknown adventure and I couldn’t be more excited.

Before it got dark outside I was looking at the perfectly white clouds, I couldn’t see past them. I wish upon them all my dreams, pounding my expectations of this trip. I wonder if at the same time someone else was looking up at the clouds, telling the universe their dreams.

Probs not; but it got me exciting thinking about that possibility of connecting with some random person in the world for a moment.

I’ve been reading a book on these flights, Started on the ADL – SYD flight. I bought this book ages ago but only just stated reading it and I’m obsessed!
The Alchemist. Everyone should read it; it speaks to everyone so differently.
Anyways I’ve been marking my favourite quotes, which seem quite relevant to my current journey.

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.”

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
(Seriously love that one, it’s SO TURE)

“The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world.”

I am so excited to marvel at the beauty that I see over the next month. To live out a dream that I’ve had for so long. To embrace the unknown and cleanse my mind of confusion and negativity. To be grateful everyday and seek to find life’s magic moments.

It’s the experiences in life that create who we are. I’ve taken a little bit of everywhere I’ve been and everyone I’ve encountered and made it to be who I am today.

Add to the beauty of the world. Be close to people that inspire you; pray daily in thanks and gratitude. Don’t be afraid of where life might take you; trust always. The best day of your life could be tomorrow, would you be ready for it?

SO READY

I’m going to try and sleep now, write more when I’m in USA x
