EDMONTON

What a wicked weekend!

Just got back from Edmonton, mateeee it was so fun. Jer and I were talking about moving there all the way back home to Calgary

This weekend went soooo fast though, to bad Jerica and I both have work tomorrow

Let me fill you in, so we got to Edmonton at like 5pm on Friday night and we were staying at Jerica’s cousin house, just the cutest place. We all went out to dinner with her and her roomies.

OMG haha they took us to the most “Alberta” looking place ever.. it was called ‘Flow and Harvrst’. SO farmer style hahaha so weird man but it was a cool weird. But it legit even had a tractor in the middle of the restaurant haha were even am I….

After dinner and taking so many pictures of the farmer restaurant we met up with Joel and Jeff who are also randomly in Edmonton this weekend.

Got some Tim Horton because it’s way to cold right now. I forget how cheap Timmy H is compared to Starbucks. Spend way too much money at starbucks…

Anways we drove around Edmonton a little bit and then the boys took us to the movies, how lovely of them. We saw “We’re the Millers” So hilarious, like dying of laughter would definitely recommend that one

Saturday

Saturday was pretty busy, we woke up pretty early to go have breakfast with some of Jerica’s friends, but I so was happy to come because we went to Cora’s for brekkie and I’m always stoked when I get to eat delicious food haha

But man we needed that solid breakfast because we went to West Ed Mall today

As in the famous West ed Mall! The biggest shopping Centre in North America!!

It didn’t disappoint man! It was soooo big. It had a full size water park, full size ice rink and a legit theme park…inside the mall. WOT.

and like every single store you can think of

What da hell.

I just kept being so surprised, like I was expecting big but woooooow.

Such a good day, spent soooo much money haha but it’s all good because I’ve been saving to go shopping here. Also bought Halloween costumes!

YAY HALLOWEEN

After spending legit the whole day at the mall, I had a solid nap when we got home while Jerica was watching friends. Haha I’m always napping

Anyways we heard about this ysa party that was on, but we didn’t actually know anyone going… haha but I made Jerica take us.

Plus we just bought new clothes ;) haha

We just walked in and followed the music to the basement, WHHHAT such a good dancefloor!

SO many people at this house, like you could hardly move to get upstairs to downstairs!

And what’s was with all the goodlooking male Canadians at this party? whattttt maybe I should move here haha

Lol so these guys were talking to us and he was asking who we were and of course I was like ohhh this is my party, it’s actually our birthday’s hahaha trying to be so funny, they went alone with it but it didn’t work 1% since it was actually their house

But it was such a fun night, we met sooooo many people and they all kept telling us to move to Edmonton!

It’s a pretty good sign when you’re like the last ones to leave the party.. that you knew no one at haha

We were going to go to breakfast with the guys at the house the next morning but once we woke up we were just keen to get on the road back home, they lived heeeeaps out of the way..

Such a quick weekend but it was so fun, so glad I got to see Edmonton

I’m currently sitting at Jerica’s work, in her break room because as soon as she’s finished work today we are off to EDMONTON!

ROADTRIP

So so so excited! Jerica even made a road trip CD haha what a babe

I nearly moved to Edmonton instead of Calgary so it will be cool to see what my life could have been, if ya know what I mean.

I have been a little lazy with writing, but let me fill you in on some of the good times..

Last night, Jerica picked me up from work and we went to Karaoke, like open mic karaoke at the most Canadian looking bar I’ve ever seen. HUGE Canadian flag and hockey playing on every tv screen. Haha soooo good!

DJ and the boys were there, so we had hot wings (also so Canadian hehe) and just had the most hilarious night. I think this is going to be a weekly thing now.

Idk how I feel about singing in public, like not really my thing but everyone was pretty drunk so yolo

At the end Jer and I sang a song together and I think it actually sounded alright hahhaha my rockstar moment lol

ALSO something I need to catch up on is Jerica’s Birthday last weekend! Was a solid weekend, we spent the weekend at Joel and Jeff’s house, like we weren’t planning to sleepover but it was for the best. Plus they made Jerica French toast for her birthday so cute!

Before she woke up on Sunday morning, I had to steal her keys from her NOISEY handbag to get stuff from her car. I bought balloons and blew them all up with the help of Joel before she woke up.

It was such a good day! We even went to this Mexican restaurant for dinner, but it was legit as. Like they didn’t speak English at all and the restaurant was this ghetto as bright orange building! The best food though <3 <3

YUUUUMMM

Anyways only a few hours till our weekend in Edmonton!! Wooo

I also really have to start thinking about when I’m going home… ewwww and if I’m going to Colorado before I go back to Aus or not? Life hey haha

It’s Friday night and I just got home from closing at work

Anways My thumb still hurts so much ahhh its been two days and its so swollen.. so uglyyyyyyy

You really do take being pain free for granted, I have seriously been so lucky in my life to have not felt a lot of physical pain!

After work tonight Christy and I were craving pizza soooo bad that we threw a pizza party with all the work homies. Haha mate I work with such stoners, like MATEEEEE but I love them so much. <3 <3 <3

okay but sometimes its annoying when it's way busy, especially when i'm the manager on charge and no one does anything……. i'll hide your weed yo if you don't do something. hehe I'm evil

Hahahah oh my gosh Christy and I were legit imitating Tyler for 15 minutes! So funny, just walking around the skate counter talking all the smack he says. Bless him, that commitment to his weed haha

After work and pizza and imitating Tyler, Christy dropped me home. I love her so much, She is such a beautiful soul! She definitely came into my life for a reason.

We always have the deepest chats about life, but it’s so good, we view life pretty similar. Just how we want to travel the world and experience life but also how we really want to do some good in this world. We seriously are sooooo blessed.

5 year travel plan. Have to do it!

Like I do want to settle down and go to uni (haha Uni, maybe one day lol) but only after I’ve experienced greatness and given back to this world. Money doesn’t mean a thing unless it’s for something good. Plus I'm only 18, got so much time to do everything before I grow up ^.^

We were also talking about our dreams for sooo long, we always talk about Mexico and Spanish since Christy is from Belize. What a babe. But she was telling me all these hectic stories about how dangerous Mexico is.. haha ahhhh man don’t kill my dream haha. Nahh I still think it’s only dangerous along the boarder, idk I think you just have to be really smart about it. Like REALLY smart ;) maybe I’ll even dye my hair haha

Oops I broke a nail

Wow

It’s October already :O :O :O

Mannnn time is going to quick.

I had the whole day off today, which is the best thing but I didn’t really need it off, kind of just a randommm day.

Didn’t do anything that exciting except get chili-cheese fries with Jerica, which is happiness in a takeaway container hehehe

Anyways I do have a story for the journal, so Jezza and I did go to insti tonight for a bit but mostly because Jer wanted to see her boy who is being heaps lame atm, we get there and he’s being such a tool so Jerica wants to leave, and I was honestly happy to leave as well… and did not want to walk home in the cold lol

So we get in the car and the whole drive home Jerica is just crying, letting it all out. Poor girl, just love her!! We get home and Jerica is still crying and in the middle of a hell deep convo and I slam the car door on my thumb.

OWCHIE MUMMA

I really didn’t think it was that bad at the time, and Jez was having her moment so I didn’t want to be hell dramatic and make it all about me so I just silently held my breath and was waiting for the pain to pass.

It wasn’t until I got inside and realized that there is blood going crazy from my thumb that I said something to Jerica.

I think I hit a nerve because my whole hand was killing me! I have black nail polish on at the moment so it’s hard to see how bad my nail actually is but it’s turned black already for sure, you can already see that through the new crack in my nail.

Ali was in the kitchen when I walked into the house and was so cute she got me a Band-Aid and mothered me, she said I’d for sure loose my nail. So sad, love pretty hands so much haha but I guess it could be so much worse.

But so pound of my self that I wasn’t dramatic about this at all, didn’t even cry mate hahaha maybe it will hit me tomorrow

Going to go get a bag of frozen corn now haha night x

Dreamers & Skateboards

TODAY HAS BEEN THE BEST DAY

Typical dreamy working day, worked with Chelsea and I just love her Canadian guts!

We do our usual dreamer talk, talk so much smack haha
We both just write in our journals on our lunch breaks and then read them to each other after haha she was telling me this quote that I need in my life and I was frothing..

Anyways we were talking about how our dream would to be Travel bloggers, one day but then we were like well, why don’t we just start a blog anyway??

We were trying to think of a name and since I might be watching too much Vampire diaries lately I thought why not Gypsy Diaries? Perfff

Except I do love having an actual travel Diary, with real raw words and feelings and with actual ink smudges. We’ll see!
I’m nearly finished this journal so maybe my next one will just have a name?

Anyways, today was also a very productive day!

I made a complete skateboard!! Christy wasn’t working today so I had to do it all by myself!

Golly I was so stoked with it.

..But Christy never taught me how to put the bearings into the wheels so that was a hectic moment. Chelsea also had no idea, so we were opening all these different packages of rubber things in the skate cabinet. SO GOLDEN.

We were running out of time till this Mum was coming back to pick up the skateboard. And then Hallelujah this skater guy walks in and we just call him over to the skate section and ask him to help us hahaha he was probably thinking what the crazy!

It would have been so funny to film that, us running around like a couple of chickens with our heads cut off!

But beside the bearing situation, the board turned out perfect!!
