I GOT A JOB

Omg yay I'm so excited! This means money and friends haha

I had four interview with in the past few days but I waited to see if I'd get the job a Zumiez 

annnnd I DID

So I have heaps of paperwork to do but the most annoying part is I have to get a SIN number? Canadian Social insurance number.

COOOL such a Canadian now, so that will be tomorrow’s adventure also have to get a bank account.

I think I’ll go suss down town tomorrow as well, might as well since I’m not working yet.

Okay confession, so I won’t be telling my parents about this just yet but I haven’t eaten properly in daysss haha oppps

I don’t have enough Canadian money transferred yet so I have to wait till that comes through in a few days to buy food.

Legit just bought milk and I’m living off the Weetbix that I bought with me from Aus.

Lets just take a moment to give our gratitude to Weetbix. Saving my life since 2013 haha

I know I could get them to send me money faster but I REALLY want to do this on my own.

I made this decision to move to Canada alone at 18 so I could experience complete independence. Got here with my own money and I want to live here on my own money. Letting the world teach me about real life a little.

Plus weetbix isn’t so bad… just awkward when I go out for the day haha

So it’s kinda a little stressful but when I do get my money transferred I can’t wait to EAT EAT EAT

Still only have 6 contacts in my phone though, and 3 of them are my roommates.

Just too popular for life heeeeey.

I went to Institute here in Calgary for the first time! 

They have there own Institute building here..like right next to my house on the Univercity campus :O

What daaaa hell. I'm so impressed

Insti was soild but no food after…. so disopointed hahaha forever hungry

But this guy Joel took me to see the Calgary temple after Institute

I must admit that I need some more friends!! haha thats what you get for moving to the other side of the world not knowing anyone! :O

but I'll be working soon and church is tomorrow so I'm sure that will help! What am I talking about?of course that will help!

Soooo I 100% didn't believe in jet lag until today! I woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep untill  8am..

who does that? I wanted to do so much today :( ahhh well there is always tomorrow.

But I did go to Walmart today, Pretty much the happiest place on earth,
right up there with Disneyland. haha can you tell it's been a few years since I've been to Walmart? Classic. but so exellent.

Then I went out to dinner with Jerica and Cody. I don't think they are dating but who knows? Maybe I'll just have to play cupid here eh?

but dinner was lovely! HUGE servings, like two side with your order. YUM
did a pretty average job at finishing it all but A for effort.

Canada is beautiful and right now the weather is soooo warm

CANADA

HOLA!!!

I'm Home!!

I've now been In Calgary for over 24 hours. Not going to lie the first night was a little nerve wracking? (like meeting my new roomies and moving into my new house) but today I had the best day ever :)

I started the day off by going on a little adventure, Walked around my new neighbourhood! So Canadian! Its the best!

I ended up at the cloest shops to buy some food. I was at the supermarket for well over and hour..maybe even two hours! I love supermarkets in different countries!! Just looking at the different types of brands and lollies and everything. But I have no idea how long I was even there for because I didn't have a watch or a phone. 

The best.

Not a care in the World.

Jerica one of my new roommates is lovely! So are all of my roommates! I'll have to get a picture of them all!

I also bought a bed today after Jerica got home from work. We went bed shopping with this guy Cody I met hella jet lagged last night. He's a nice boy. 

Super Canadian…..

like American in the way he talks and dresses. Holyyyyy crazy I forget what (North) American's are like haha but he's going to help me learn Spanish. What a gangsta.

What else… it's summer! YAY in June..but not like Aus summers I'm use to! It was 24°c today which isn't heaps hot but its not cold so I'm happy!

SUMMER YESSSS

I also bought a phone today! Today actually was way productive than I thought..win win.
Its way ghetto but yolo mate and I'm poor traveller now haha but its all gooooood because I have a selfie camera still so that the main thing right? #firstworldproblems 

but I also go to see the local mall near my house when I bought my phone! Hopefully I'll be working at one of the stores soon eh? (lol eh..already a Canadian try hard) 
but man the guy who sold me my phone was super attractive, reminds me heaps of my future Canadian boyfriend haha I joke but he was hot as!!

It Begins.

The day has finally come!! 

I knew it would, but now that’s its here I can't believe it. I'm currently on my flight to VANCOUVER!! Just like I’d envisioned! So perfect, just like on the movies where that girl goes on a mad adventure with the super inspiration music in the background lol. 

But if I could put backing track to this very moment in life, I’d put Titanium but the Boyce Avenue cover!! Only because I was listening to Boyce Ave the other night a few weeks ago while I was doing some random research all about Canada and when Titanium came on, 

it just hit me. 

I lost it. 

Singing my head off.. MATE IM MOVING TO CANADA. 

ahhhhh so exciting. 

I feel like I'm going on a little soul searching adventure, well I guess I am, discovering who I am without the things that have made me who I am around me! If that even makes sense? I feel so strongly like this is where I need to be right now. For some reason I'm meant to come to Calgary, Canada of all places. But I know this experience will be the best experience of my life. 

There is something so magical about flying into a different city. When I was flying to Auckland of the way here, it was PITCH black then all of sudden you see the coast and the beach, the legit outline of New Zealand. Then you fly over the streets of NZ till you hit the magical city of Auckand. What makes it even greater is that I was JUST on top of the clouds. Gosh. It's views like that, that really makes you view planet earth so differently! Soooo beautiful. Like, I wish I could memory photograph that and oh my goodness if I had a camera I would have snapped a million pictures of that! oh and instagramed that batboy! 

Something else I really love is getting lost in unknown airports! Cant wait to see what Vancouver's airport got to offer haha… 1 HOUR! I land in 1 hour!! Just so excited! But maybe also I little bit nervous.. just a little bit ;) just about going through immigration and getting my Visa approved but besides that I'm so ready! Write more when I'm in Canadaaaaa x
