Adios Mexico x

IM SO SAD

I’m sitting in the Cancun airport waiting for my flight to LA to start my 30 something hour journey home. I don’t want to leave but I’m so extremely grateful for every second I’ve had here in this beautiful country!

Keno’s flight just left, so sad saying goodbye to her but hopefully I’ll be able to visit her in China in January! She and I became such good friends, my Chinese/Mexican soul sister hehe

Before I leave let me quickly write my Cancun adventures.
We really had the shortest time here but we didn’t want to waste one second.

Since we didn’t go out in Playa del Carmen we went out last night, ohhhh goodness it was so fun, danced our heads off! It’s so hot and humid here.. Sweat citayyyyy. We are pretty broke now so we didn’t want to pay $60 to go to Coco Bongo, actually we didn’t really want to pay anything to get in anywhere. Lol but since we are girls I knew we could get free entry somewhere mahahahha

Winner winner chicken dinner.

I woke up really early this morning, such a beautiful view to wake up to!! Went for a little early morning swim with Keno. I love the beach so much, ahhhh why am I leaving?

Since it’s Sunday today I was so keen to go to Church in Mexico and since we didn’t go the last two Sundays we had to go today. Mexicans are so beautiful and singing in Spanish is the best thing ever. Perfect way to end our trip. My heart is so full with graduated right now.

LIFE IS THE BEST

See you soon Australia, I’ll be dreaming of coming back here the whole flight home

Te amo Mexico, you are amazing x

HI CANCUN

Hola Hola Hola

We left Playa del Carmen today and we are now in CANCUN hehe how dreamy!

We are staying at this fancy fancy hotel with the best ocean view. SO amazing

Firstly I wish we were staying longer in Cancun and secondly as much as I love keno this resort is so romantic. Where my Mexican boyf at? Joking but serious.

But the place screams romance, there was a wedding on this afternoon that we watched from our balcony and then about an hour ago we watched a proposal also from our balcony! WoOoow.

Anyways. You would think that any normal tourist would just take a taxi from Playa to Cancun but not us. Keno and I are pretty much Mexican’s now, like since we’ve trekked on the local buses all through out Mexico why not continue the bus life haha we were the only white people on the bus. Love that so much.

Once we got to Cancun it was so nice just to be on our time! Soooo sad saying goodbye to everyone this morning though.. You always meet the best people travelling!

After spending the afternoon in the pool/at the beach I was so keen to get my nails done now that we are in touristy Mexico, but the lady at the Spa spoke no English and I couldn’t get what I was trying to say across haha

That awkward/fantastic moment when they are speaking Spanish to you and your trying to speak Spanish but your not actually sure if what your saying makes sense, so your both just standing there facing each other smiling and nodding hahahhaa

Bless her. So nails didn’t happen so we had lunch instead. Keno was in fish heaven I swear she ate so much seafood. It was so good though!

After lunch we went for a walk around town, it’s so beautiful here but it’s so touristy/American that it makes me sad. It’s like I’m already back in America. Everything is in American dollars and American prices.. bring back the pesos please.

But oh boy. We had Mexican boys screaming at us the whole way through town telling us how beautiful we are and asking me if I want a Mexican boyfriend hahahha I mean I would love a Mexican boyfriend but you all are so trashyyyyy. It got soooo annoying at the end. Like everywhere we went we’d get these cheap comments said to us. Go back to speaking Spanish plzzz.
The worst part is the Mexicans here actually are so hot, like Mexico city hot but when they speak to you like this is such a turn off. Like I actually want to kick them in the head. No me gusta.

After the markets we ran into this guy trying to sell us drugs lol I was so sassy to him because all I wanted was to be left alone, find Tacos and somewhere to get my Nails done hahahaha

But next minute we are following him to this nail salon yayayaya muchas gracias kind sir. So stoked.

After we got are nails done it was time to get ready to go out, but a first stop to the OXXO for water, m&ms, and Coke the essentials haha

Lets get weird tonight

Adios x x x

Playa del Carmen

What a day!
It was my last full day here in Playa del Carman.. Props to me for being so full on all day!

Mannnnn I feel like I’ve been in Mexico for ages but at the same time I still don’t believe it. It’s like I’m dreaming with my eyes open. “she be day dreamin”

ANYWAYS. This morning I woke up nice and early headache free :)
We were all meeting down stairs at 10am to go out for breakfast. Haha but it was just Keno, me, Ernesto, Tayla and Alex. Everyone else was dead to the world. To much coco at Coco bongo hey? ;)

Lol soon to joke, still so devo I couldn’t go last night..

Ernesto was meant to be taking us on a short walk to get breakfast but he totally got us all lost hahaha walking for forever in the hot hot sun and we were all so hungry. No me gusta. He felt so bad that he bought us all smoothies hehe

I’m really going to miss these fancy pancy breakfast’s with the best people in the BEST place! We all ate like kings then split up for the day.

Keno needed to post some postcards so we walked all around the city to find a post office. I was spewin I didn’t bring a hair tie because I was getting some serious sun and my dress was backless, perfect tanning opportunity!

After the post office I was melting so I needed to go swimming before we did more shopping! We walked practically to Narnia to get back to the hotel haha so dramatic ;)

Our hotels this whole trip have been amazing! Not fancy, well some have been, some also quite ghetto but each of them have been so unique to the place we were in. This hotel in Playa is pretty amazing, our sliding door in our room leads onto the rooftop pool!! Just the best.

When we got back Ernesto was in the pool, he’s such a big kid haha slashing me to get in the pool faster!

After we cooled down we went shopping, we ran into Ernesto later and he was so bored haha so we all knew it was time for the BEACH!!! Ohhh I was so ready for some ocean vibes! Playa is beautiful!!

When we were swimming the sun just started to set, so perfect!

After beach and husband stalking mahahha it was time to stop looking homeless and find my hairbrush that I haven’t used in way to long lol
It was nice actually getting pretty for dinner :-)

Dinner seriously was once of my favorite moments. Such a perfect end for it being the last night together! The restaurant was so funky! Legit on the beach, with mini bon fires and a stage with live performers doing all sorts of things. When we first arrived they were performing acoustic covers! My all time favorite music Best vibes.

The food was to die for; nacho’s and Mexican coke!! After dinner Ernesto got us to go around the table and tell each other our highlight of the trip, the worst part and how this trip has changed us.

Ahhh this was the best idea, It was so cool to hear others and their thoughts on this trip and what they are taking away from it.

What did I say? The best part?
SO HARD, obvs the sinkholes were so amazing but honestly it was the small things, my first day in Mexico city, all those simple Spanglish convocations I’ve had and just embracing every second. It has legit been a dream to come here and I’ve done it.

The worst part? Eating some funky street food and getting sick from it haha yolo but I really didn’t get that sick compared to others.

How has Mexico changed me? Well this kinda surprised me, I knew it had but I hadn’t thought about it until that moment when Ernesto asked. Firstly I think it put a lot of curiosity to ease but it also reconfirmed the love I have for this culture and how much I connect with this place. I learnt it’s okay to be a dreamer and to the chase them. I learnt how people all over the world want and need the same things. It’s made me even more Latin in love. I’m going to study Spanish again and come back to this side of the world.

Hearing everyone’s highlights tonight was so moving, haha I was getting a little teary, typical. It was such a beautiful moment though. Ernesto then told us his highlights and gave us this BEAUTIFUL travel speech. Really inspirational.

Life is so beautiful, the world is so amazing and travelling is so important. It’s so true that every place changes you. How truly extraordinary it is to be able to say you’ve seen how the other side of the world lives.

Perfect night x

Chichén Itzá

On the Road again

Playa del Carmen here we come!! So excited for some beach times!!

Lol even though I’ve lost that beach bod that I worked so hard to get before this trip hahha typical that’s what America and all those tacos will do to yaaa.
No regrets at all.

We had a quick stop (actually long as) in CHICHEN ITZA!!!
I’ve been looking forward to these forward to these ruins since before I even booked Mexico! So exciting!!

Glad these are the last ruins though, end it on a BANG.

“The ruins are ruining my life” –Keno
hahhaah she’s a gem.

Maaaaate the humid weather was pretty intense! This is more what I was expecting Mexico to be like. Even though it was hella hot and the fact that these where the last ruin I still not for once second didn’t love my life!

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!

After Chichen Itza we where all pretty hungry so we went to this all you can eat buffet hehehe the best! I was kinda getting a hectic headache by this point though but I was just hoping it was because I was hungry. They had these cool Mexican dancers that were dancing with plates and jars on their heads while we were eating haha so cool.

Once we left we were on our way to PLAYA DEL CARMEN! Hola hola!
You could just tell we were getting closer to the beach..hammock shops everywhere!!! Once we arrived I was so happy to be here but also my headache was killing meeeeehhh.

Must have just been the lack of water and that hot hot sun in the middle of the day! So I just slept while the crew had dinner because everyone was going out to Coco Bongo tonight so I wanted to sleep this headache off.

Once Keno came back from dinner I knew I wasn’t going out tonight. I’m pretty devo since this was the last night the group was going out but on the bright side I’ll go out with Keno in Cancun and I did save $60usd.

Yep, 60 dollars. What the hell happened to pesos??? Playa del Carmen is sooooo American. It’s the worst.

After a little bit Keno and I went out for a little walk around the town. Such a beautiful place, so alive at night. Kinda like Vegas crossed with a chill Mexican beach town. Muy Bein.

We got the best tacos take-a-way which brings me to know.. Currently eating them mahahahha they also gave me so many limes. Lime is a new love of mine. Just eat them like oranges haha yuuuummmm

Till Manana amigos x
